As far as we are informed, this is the first information portal ever came
up in our family. The purpose of this portal is to draw a portrait of the family
for a person, who is curious to know about us. Many years ago my father's maternal
grandpa Late Dr. K. D. Pathak, started this process. He came up with an
encyclopedia book about the family : "Hum - Hamare". The book was an instant hit
in the family. But as we all know, it is difficult to maintain the paper version
of a book, printing is costly, updation and circulation of updated book a true
nightmare.

Our idea is to prepare the web portals for our related familes,
and at a later stage integrate them with each other. This way we would
be able to maintain & circulate a paperless version of "Hum-Hamare".
The way computer literacy is spreading in the family, I do not think it
would be difficult for us to maintain our family history : on-line.
